The Background Behind the Project Brief
VoltWave is a start-up company that focuses on electric vehicles charging networks and is mainly concerned about building up the necessary infrastructure and deployment of it throughout the commercial and residential properties. The company was in need of highly developed software to manage its network in an effective manner with or without the aid of another human operator as the number of electric vehicles (EVs) on the road is increasing.

Among the main features were real-time stations' monitoring, dynamically controlled load, billing processes that are automated, OCPP-compliant hardware integration that is seamless.

What Was Holding Them Back
The aged system put in place by VoltWave was not capable of real-time monitoring, and as a result, problems were resolved with a delay and uptime was poor. Over the shortcomings of hardware compatibility, the absence of dynamic load management, and the manual billing process, they became unable to achieve the intended operational efficiency and scalability.

- The hardware suppliers locked the installation of the OCPP-compliant charging stations, thus limiting the use of different charging stations.

Our team has designed a modern cloud-based charging management platform equipped with real-time monitoring, OCPP protocol integration, dynamic load management, automated billing, and advanced analytics. The hardware-agnostic architecture ensures the future will be full of opportunities for growth.
- A cloud-based OCPP-compliant platform which is capable of supporting more than 200 charger models with real-time monitoring was built
- Dynamic load management was implemented through the use of peak shaving and intelligent energy distribution algorithms
- Automated billing system together with flexible pricing, payment gateways, and revenue reporting was integrated

The change of platform brought about huge operational improvements in all aspects. A white-labeled mobile application that allows drivers to find stations, see the status of the chargers, start charging sessions, monitor the charges, and make payments easily through an intuitive interface.
